Michael Jordan

In this video Michael Jordan talks about his failures. He states the number of shots he missed, and he talks about all the times he was chosen to take the game-winning shot and missed. I think this commercial takes place as Michael is walking out after a game, and it seems like he just lost. The setting allows the viewers to see that everyone, even Michael Jordan, goes through low points in life.

The whole point of this video is to show that everyone has failures in their life. And the way you become successful has to do with how you deal with those failures. Do you keep trying like Michael Jordan? Or do you give up every time something doesn't go your way? Michael may have missed many shots and lost games, but if would have given up those failures, then he wouldn't be the legend we know today.

  1. You're right in saying that how you deal with failures plays a part on if you become successful or not. Many people would have been ready to give up after they'd missed as many shots or last as many games as Michael had. What separates the successful from everyone else is they don't give up. They continue to try and turn their failures into learning experience and work harder to do better.

  2. I like the idea that this is him after one of his 300 losses, the commerical never says and I think that puts a great spin on it. I think it definatly shows that even the great ones struggle sometimes, but their ability to overcome that is what makes them great, and MJ is the poster child of that thought.

  3. I like you last sentence because it really explains how MJ was successful. Like we've talked about before, success is not only having success but being able to overcome obstacles and failures, which is what MJ did. Nice post.
